With Tekken Tag 2′s release date drawing nearer and nearer, and major hype accumulating by each passing day, fans of the series have been predicting just how much this game will sell.

But what do Namco think? Well according to a link user Flying Wonkey has provided, Namco are targeting over 2 million sales.

The target is very much achievable seeing as the game is on multiple platforms. and every Tekken game since Tekken 1 has sold over 3 million copies thus far. With the hype surrounding this game, and being it a return of Tag gameplay, one would think the target would be achievable to say the least.

Anyway feel free to have your own say about Namco’s target by clicking here on our forum.

The following is a guide created by Tekken Nation user DJD2010, discussing the changes from Tekken 6 to Tekken Tag 2. If you are a Jack 6 fan, feel free to put your input regarding this and additional information by clicking here.

New Moves:

WS2,1 (Med,Med)

f3,1+2 (Med,Med),1st hit gives a stun on counter, 2nd hit gives a bound in a juggle, 2nd hit launches on counter hit(Either the first hit hits or not)

uf1 (High), Chargeable (uf[1]), Combo filler after TA!

Move changes:

1+2 changed from Med,Med to High,High

FC,db1 new counter hit animation, +5 on hit +9 on counter (From TZ)

f2 Damage boost

b1+2: Now jails on block, pushback and safe (From TZ)

2 Now -1 instead of +1 on block, worse recovery on whiff (From TZ)

FC,df1,2,1 Now jab punishable (From TZ)

Tag bufferable moves:

WS1

1+2,1+2

d1+2

df,DF2+4

db1+2,1+2

ss1

ff2

ff1+2

b,db,d,df2

qcf,df1

uf1+2 (With Alisa and Bryan only)

Extra tips:

W! B!>TA u1+2 allows another hit to re-W! after it for more wall damage.

B!>TA! uf1 is a nice W! move near a wall (Altho b3,2,2 is more recommended)

Some juggles that might work:

1-Jack db1+2,1+2~5

Alisa uf,n~4 1 b4,3 B!>TA!

Jack u1+2

Alisa 1 ff2,3

2-Jack df2 2 b3,2,2 W! ff1 B!>TA!

Alisa b3+4,3+4

Jack (During Alisa’s b3+4,3+4) f4 | f4 db1,1,1

3-Jack WS1 f4 f3,1+2 B! ff1+2,2

Unlimited move changes:

2 is not-1 anymore is either 0 or +1 (TZ)

f2 has different properties on normal hit now

f3 different properties on counter hit

LOL Debug is a homing move,LOL! (TZ)

WS1 does more damage

Second hit of WS2,1 is more punishable (TZ)

More Characters To Be Announced At E3

Harada on Twitter confirms that he will announce some of the added characters on E3, an event which will take place between June 5th and 7th 2012. However remember he did say “some” not “all”, so if your favorite had not been announced by the time E3 ends, there’s still some chance for them to be announced later on.

Also Harada appears to have gave us an update on Kunimtsu, by indicating that she was not brought back because she was not popular enough. Of course he could just be “trolling” us for a surprise, let’s just wait and see. Here’s what was said on his Twitter account anyway:

“I’ll announce SOME added character at E3 in L.A. … I’ve lots of characters RT <s>@</s>Zephyrus21 when will you announce a new character?”

“What do you think. Think yourself. Did you love her from TK1 to TTT1? RT<s>@</s>thereallukeadam Why no Kunimitsu in ttt2″

Anyway why don’t you discuss your hopes for E3 on our forum by clicking here.

Well I think most of us here assumed that they will be returning characters from previous Tekken games, but according to Harada’s latest tweet, it seems like some of them will be new characters.Or at least that’s what he hinted at when the following was said:

Not only return char. RT <s>@</s>Edhione In console version only chars returns or new chars too??

Well who could they be? It does sound like a silly question seeing as they could be totally new to the series, however Shin from the movie Tekken Blood Vengeance, and Tougou from Tekken 6 would technically be considered new, seeing as they have yet to be selectable in a Tekken game thus far. Remember Harada did say that some of the characters exclusive on the console version will have similar styles. So a Tougou with a Lars like move set, wouldn’t sound far fetched, another possibility would be that “Lili character” Harada apparently used as an example in the interview.

Lets just wait and see, while you are at it why don’t you discuss the characters you would like to see on our forums by clicking here.

New Moves

f,f+3,4
Kind of like Feng f,f+4,3. 2nd hit launches.

b+3,4
i16 m,h. NC. Wallsplats. b3 hits grounded and picks up for juggles.

u/f+3,1
low crush, NC. uf3 ends in FC. i18, +4 on hit and ch, -7 on block. Second hit is -13 frame on block.

Move Changes

u/f+4
Now launches like a normal hopkick, i15. -13 on block

d/b+3
Now recovers crouching. Also recovers slightly slower. i20 startup, 18 damage.

d+2
No longer hits grounded.

CH f,f+2
Juggles on CH (BR uf4 type knockdown). lowcrushes. Otherwise remains the same.

d+1+2
Less range.

f,f+1+2
NH knocks down like b1+2 pp now.
Safe?

Taggable moves
d4,1
4,4,1
d/f2,1
d1+2
ff3,4
d/b4,2
warning moon (grants i15 launch for incoming character)

Tag Assault
d1+2
ff34
db242?
b21,1+2?

Juggles
CH ff2, 1+2 B!

Set ups
-df11 B!, db1 pickup if they don’t move doesnt work anymore.
-B!, d2 into FC1 pickup doesn’t work anymore

Tag throws
Wang (lead) + Jinpachi df3+4~5
Jinpachi (lead) + Wang ff1+2~5

TTTU2 Changes
ss+4 the damage appears to have increased from 19 to 21.

u/f+4, this went from -13 to -14 it seems. Big deal if you use hopkicks, otherwise not so much. Personally never felt Wang’s hopkick was his bread and butter (range/damage weren’t too great).

u+4, this went from 14 frames to 15 frames. Kinda pointless to use it now, if you ever did before (fast zero range launcher).

uf+3,1 is now easier to punish

WM confirmed as above +13 only..
